From Moors to Mills

 Hi everyone,

with everything that has been going on lately we haven't paid much attention to posting any blogs. There has been a lot going on here, and I really need to let you all know what has been happening.

One of the most exciting things is that I finally finished my new book, which is titled "From Moors to Mills", a couple of months ago.It took 18 months for me to research and write. I hope you like it

It is not just an ordinary pattern book. Not only does it have patterns inspired by the moors and mills around us, but it gives you very readable information about the Border Leicester sheep breed, the history of Yorkshire Wool and life in the mills.

It was reviewed by The Yorkshire Post and The Knitter.

The Knitter's review says "Ellie Stokeld of Doulton Border Leicester Yarns has written a fascinating book exploring the history of Yorkshire Wool, and the story of the Border Leicester sheep  breed. The book also has 13 knitting patterns, inspired by the county's moors and mills, including a handsome gansey, a yoked sweater, a tailored jacket, a hap, an elegant cabled jumper, and a range of lovely colourwork accessories."

It is available from the website under Merchandise and would  make a wonderful Christmas gift.
